Day Eleven: Make a Prompt Personal

I decided to take this over to my photography blog. I like to take part in Daily Post’s Weekly Photo Challenge. This time, the theme is “Optimistic,” and here is my take on it.

Day Twelve: Increase Your Commenting Confidence

For Day Twelve, we were to read six posts written in response to the same prompt, and leave comments on at least two of them. Here’s the six posts in response to the “Optimistic” photo challenge I liked:

And a Plus One by hefeedsthebirds as I really liked the merging of inspirational quotes and original photos.

Day Thirteen: Try (Another) Blogging Event

I decided to take part in the Music Mondays Challenge. You can find my entry here.

Day Fourteen: Extend Your Brand

I already have a Twitter account that is linked to this blog. I also have a private account that I use more often and that is actually displayed here. You can find it in the widgets section on the right side of my blog. On the one hand, I’d like to write more on my “official” Twitter account. On the other hand, I’d like to concentrate on writing entries for this blog first. So yeah, we’ll see how this develops in the future.

Movie Review #4: Star Wars – The Force Awakens (2015)

Star Wars: The Force Awakens (source:

Title: Star Wars – The Force Awakens (IMDb)
Directed by: J. J. Abrams
Written by: Lawrence Kasdan, J. J. Abrams, Michael Arndt, George Lucas (creator)
Year: 2015
Length: 135 min.
Rating: 12
My IMDb rating: 9/10

Mostly spoiler free review of Star Wars: The Force Awakens (3D). If you don’t want to know any names of characters who appear in this movie, you probably shouldn’t read it before watching it. Otherwise, you’re good.

Fans have waited 10 years for the continuation of Star Wars. In my opinion, it was totally worth it.

Although I am not one of the biggest Star Wars fans, I did enjoy watching the original trilogy as a kid and when re-watching it lately, I liked it still. I remember having seen the first prequel in the cinema – and I hated it so much that I never went back to watch the rest of it. I did watch the prequels last year (or rather suffered through them) and I choose not to watch them again.

When I heard that J. J. Abrams would direct Episode VII, I was very excited. As a Star Trek fan, I had watched Abrams’ re-envisioned version with joy. I hear you critics saying that it wasn’t a good Star Trek movie, and I partly agree with you, but it was such a good movie. I honestly can’t say how often I have watched it… It’s embarrassing, really. (Let’s not talk about Into Darkness, though. That was embarrassing on a whole different level.)

Then, we got the first teaser trailer for The Force Awakens.
