Title: Batman v Superman (IMDb)
Directed by: Zack Synder
Written by: Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer
Year: 2016
Length: 151 min.
Rating: 12
My IMDb rating: 4/10

This is really difficult. I think there’re two ways to review this movie. The first is reviewing Batman v Superman as a movie without any knowledge of or connection to DC comics and their superheroes. The second is reviewing it as a movie featuring the most beloved superheroes of the DC Universe. As you can imagine, these two reviews would vary significantly.

As it is, I am a comic book fan. While Superman was the first Superhero I came to know, it was Batman who I came to love the most.

Which is why I cannot say that I liked Batman v Superman.

Please note that this review contains spoilers for the entire movie.

I have watched this movie twice so far. The second time was just as good as the first. Deadpool manages to make me laugh hysterically and cringe inwardly mere seconds apart. They went all out on that R-rating.

Mark Watney is stranded on Mars. His crew and NASA believe him to be dead. The next shuttle to Mars arrives in four years. His food supplies will last him about 50 days. In order to survive, Mark’s only solution is to grow food and establish contact with NASA.

After listening to the audiobook version of the novel by Andy Weir, I was really excited to see how the movie adaptation of The Martian looked. I was not disappointed.

My boyfriend and I decided to rent Guardians of the Galaxy on Maxdome. I had seen the movie previously in the cinema but hadn’t enjoyed it very much. Mostly, because I’ve had too high expectations of it. Before watching the movie for the first time, I decided to read some Guardians comic books. I really loved Gamora and Nebula, and their sisterly relationship to each other (sisters hate each other more often than not, trust me). So if you have seen the movie, you might understand why I was a little disappointed. Watching it the second time around, I only cringed slightly at Nebula’s scenes. Otherwise, the movie was amazing. Now let me tell you why.

Mostly spoiler free review of Star Wars: The Force Awakens (3D). If you don’t want to know any names of characters who appear in this movie, you probably shouldn’t read it before watching it. Otherwise, you’re good.

Fans have waited 10 years for the continuation of Star Wars. In my opinion, it was totally worth it.

Although I am not one of the biggest Star Wars fans, I did enjoy watching the original trilogy as a kid and when re-watching it lately, I liked it still. I remember having seen the first prequel in the cinema – and I hated it so much that I never went back to watch the rest of it. I did watch the prequels last year (or rather suffered through them) and I choose not to watch them again.

When I heard that J. J. Abrams would direct Episode VII, I was very excited. As a Star Trek fan, I had watched Abrams’ re-envisioned version with joy. I hear you critics saying that it wasn’t a good Star Trek movie, and I partly agree with you, but it was such a good movie. I honestly can’t say how often I have watched it… It’s embarrassing, really. (Let’s not talk about Into Darkness, though. That was embarrassing on a whole different level.)

Then, we got the first teaser trailer for The Force Awakens.
