I decided to participate in Blogging 201. We will get daily assignments that are supposed to help us with our blogging.
The first assignment is to set 3 goals. So what do I want to do with my blog? What is my blog’s purpose?
Well, I already stated in the beginning that I want to post at least once a week. Post should be about anything related to culture.
I want people to get to know stuff, and I want to share my opinions about the media I consume with others.
At some point, I’d like to be able to earn some money with my blogging. At least enough to finance running the blog regularly.
These are my goals, then:
- Write regularly. Sit down and write for at least 30 minutes each day.
- Publish at least twice a week (including a weekly “Femme Friday” post).
- Engage more with the WordPress community. Spend one to two hours weekly to read and comment on other blogs.
I think these should be manageable. We’ll see how it goes 🙂

I would love for us to share ideas with one another and have discussions as well. I will follow you and I hope you follow back. I also share the hope of being able to make money off of my blog as well but in order to do that, you do need to buy the domain and not be a sub-domain in order for ads to be shown. Please feel free to check my blog out as well.

Hey there! Thank you for your comment. It be great to share ideas. I know that we have to get our own domain in order to make money. I did this for my photography blog. I only belatedly noticed that WP doesn’t allow Google Ads, only WordAds, and that those require a certain amount of traffic before being activated. Since that is the case, I want to wait until I have about 1000 views per month before getting a domain for this blog.

I quickly glanced over your posts and read a few lines here and there. I am glad someone talking about things in general and sharing their opinions on it. Like Emma Watson’s HeForShe campaign or just sharing stuff about their day. Its really interesting for a person from other country to read about how someone else’s day is like in another country.
And good and manageable goals there 😀 Even i hope to earn a bit to finance my travel and hence share my experiences.

I also find it very interesting to read about other people’s lives and experiences. It makes you think about how your life is going and what you might want to do with it.
